China’s Three Trumps for Becoming a Global Leader
Under the current mainstream interpretations and narrative frameworks, China’s overall national competitiveness curve is projected to cross that of the United States around 2050. This establishes the theoretical and philosophical basis for China’s decision to continue paying its dues. However, in an alternative assessment system that breaks free from the current narrative, China is deemed to have surpassed the United States in overall war-fighting capabilities as early as 2022. In this assessment framework, China is believed to hold three major trump cards. Namely, China possesses an advantage in overall national warfighting capability; China possesses the power to trigger political turmoil and territorial changes in Europe; and China possesses a decisive trump card capable of forcing the United States to accept a “U.S.-China Axis” system. These three major advantages constitute the conceptual and philosophical foundation for China’s challenge to the unipolar U.S. imperial order.
